Veteran throws coach Julian Robinson has been appointed as the new head of Calabar High School’s athletics programme, succeeding Corey Bennett, whose contract will not be renewed at the end of the season.

Robinson, who once represented Calabar in the throws during the 1980s, returns home with a mission — to rebuild the Green Machine’s dominance in high school athletics. His appointment ends weeks of speculation following the school's decision not to renew Bennett’s tenure.

Also under consideration was former assistant coach and Calabar past student Omar Hawes.
